Govt increases funding to fight AIDS in Europe

The Government has increased its assistance to fight HIV and AIDS in central and southeast Europe.

Funding of €3m is being provided over two years to UNICEF.

Minister Tom Kitt has said there is a need for urgent action in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, which have the fastest growing epidemic.
