Month-long clean-up operation for Connemara oil spill
The clean-up operation from the oil spill in Connemara will take a month to complete.
Over 2,000 gallons of oil spilled into Casla Bay yesterday. It’s thought to have leaked from a unit in the Casla Industrial Estate.
The operation is scheduled to start tomorrow.
Galway County Council says it's investigating the spill and the cost of the clean-up will be paid by those responsible.
