Judges withdrawn speech covered Garda operation and threat to jurors

The speech withdrawn by Mr Justice Paul Carney yesterday outlined the Garda security operation surrounding the Kieran Keane trial and the threat felt by jurors and the principal witness.

Entitled "The Limerick Experience”, the Central Criminal Court judge withdrew his speech from the conference after concerns were raised by Chief Justice Ronan Keane.
