Manslaughter trial hears of 'sneaky kick' from accused
A defence barrister in the Brian Murphy manslaughter trial has admitted his client delivered a “sneaky kick” to the deceased but submitted that what occurred there “was an assault”.
Mr Anthony Sammon SC, for Mr Sean Mackey, told the jury in his closing address that his client was not part of the wave of people who are reported to have attacked Mr Murphy outside the Burlington Hotel.
