Give emergency service points exemption - SIPTU

SIPTU has called on the Government to introduce a special licensing system to exempt emergency workers from the penalty points system.

The union claimed that, under the current system, ambulance drivers, gardaí, fire-fighters and others could have their licences endorsed for traffic violations committed in the course of their work.
