Offaly man denies murdering son

A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of his son in Offaly four years ago at the Central Criminal court today.

Mr Thomas Groome denies murdering Christopher Groome at Church View Heights, Edenderry, Co Offaly on November 15, 1999.

A jury of seven men and five women were sworn in and expect to begin hearing evidence at his trial next Thursday.
