Investigation launched into alleged assault

An investigation has been launched into claims that a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in north Co Dublin earlier today.

The alleged incident took place on Skerries Beach shortly after midnight.

Gardaí have arrested a 15-year old boy. He is being questioned at Balbriggan Garda Station.
