Poll shows 58% confidence in gardaí

A majority of people have expressed their confidence in the fairness and impartiality of the gardaí, a new opinion poll published today has claimed.

The poll in The Irish Times said 58% of people polled are satisfied with the performance of the force while confidence falls dramatically among younger people and the less well off.
