Around 300 patients were waiting on trolleys in accident and emergency departments throughout Ireland this morning, according to the Irish Nurses Organisation.

Around 300 patients were waiting on trolleys in accident and emergency departments throughout Ireland this morning, according to the Irish Nurses Organisation.

The INO said that, at one stage, more than 200 patients were waiting for beds in Dublin hospitals, 30 in Cork, 36 in Limerick and nine in Wexford.
