Govt urged to use presidency to combat privatisation

The Green Party, Sinn Féin and the Socialist Party have called on the Government to use its presidency of the European Union to oppose the privatisation of public services.

The three parties claimed the proposed EU constitution encourages the privatisation of essential services, including health and education.
