Two foreign nationals have been arrested in Belfast as part of an international anti-terrorism investigation, police said tonight.

The man and woman – she is believed to be a nurse working among overseas staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast – were detained by the Police Service of Northern Ireland under terrorism legislation.
