Govt must combat crisis in carers industry
The "Caring for Carers" group which says over 300,000 people caring for their sick relatives in Ireland are being ignored by the Government.
The group says the lack of a support structure is putting the health of both parties at risk, particularly older carers.
Spokesperson Brigid Barron says the Minister for Health, Micheál Martin, needs to put a National Strategy in place to combat the crisis.
