Minister attends Georgian inauguration
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, is in Georgia today for the inauguration of the country's president.
Mikheil Saakashvili will take office in the country's capital, Tbilisi, today.
The Minister says he looks forward to helping Georgia to come closer to the European family.
He says the Irish presidency supports increased EU engagement in Georgia, where the authorities face a major task in transforming the country into a stable and democratic state.
