Agriculture Minister bans chicken from Thailand

The Minister for Agriculture has banned chicken from Thailand.

Joe Walsh has implemented the measure in response to the bird flu outbreak, which has reportedly caused the death of a man there.

ICSA President Malcolm Thompson claims the exceptionally high standards of poultry, beef and lamb in Ireland have to be maintained.
