British police make first arrest under EU warrant scheme

Police in Britain have arrested a 52-year-old man accused of stealing a yacht from a boatyard in Co Cork last October.

The man, Lawrence Andrew McMillan, is the first person to be arrested under a European arrest warrant scheme introduced on January 1.
