Three women and a child who died in a horrific crash in Tipperary were all members of the same family.

Three women and a child who died in a horrific crash in Tipperary were all members of the same family.

The crash involving four trucks and a car happened on the main Dublin to Cork road near Cahir at around 7.30am.

All of the victims were travelling in the car and were members of the same family.

At least one of the truck drivers and a second child were also seriously injured in the collision.

The accident has caused disruption to traffic on the N8 and motorists heading towards Cork have been advised to travel via Cloheen, Ballyporeen and Mitchelstown.
