Mara called before Moriarty Tribunal
Former Government press secretary, PJ Mara, has been called before the Moriarty Tribunal to explain his role in advising on the application for the state's second mobile phone licence.
Mr Mara, who was employed on a consultancy basis by former Esat boss Denis O’Brien, has said he was aware that the bid for the licence was financially weak.
The inquiry is trying to establish whether there was any underhand dealing between Esat and the then Government in relation to the licence application.
