Fingal County Council has reportedly rezoned 400 acres of land in the Co Dublin village of Donabate to pave the way for a residential development that could treble the local population.

Reports this morning said the rezoning was approved by 13 votes to nine last night, despite intense opposition from Labour Party councillors.
