19-year-old arrested in connection with Shannon bomb alert

Gardaí in Co Clare have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a bomb alert on board a transatlantic flight that made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport yesterday.

The Delta Airlines flight from Frankfurt to Atlanta was diverted to Shannon after a stewardess found a note in the toilet saying a bomb was on board.
