Farmers and landowners are expected to gather outside Loughan House prison in Cavan later today to demonstrate over their private property rights.

Farmers and landowners are expected to gather outside Loughan House prison in Cavan later today to demonstrate over their private property rights.

The protest is being organised by the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association who will protest outside the prison, where a Co Sligo farmer has been jailed for refusing to pay a court fine in connection with an incident involving hill-walkers on his land.
