McDowell 'delaying' Garda ombudsman appointment: Rabbitte

Labour Party leader Pat Rabbitte has called on Justice Minister Michael McDowell to "stop delaying" the appointment of a Garda Ombudsman.

Mr Rabbitte was responding to a television documentary last night that outlined a litany of assault, perjury and abuse of power allegations against the Gardaí.
