The Eastern Regional Health Authority has reiterated its appeal for hospital casualty departments to be kept for emergencies.

The Eastern Regional Health Authority has reiterated its appeal for hospital casualty departments to be kept for emergencies.

The ERHA said the past week was a busy one in A&E departments at Dublin hospitals and those who don’t need emergency treatment should visit their GP instead.

The authority said it was closely monitoring the situation.
