Irish people ill-informed about multiple sclerosis
The majority of Irish people know little about the neurological diseases multiple sclerosis, according to a survey conducted by a German pharmaceutical firm.
More than half of those questioned as part of the survey thought MS was fatal and left sufferers wheelchair-bound and unable to work.
However, Schering AG, the company that conducted the survey, said many MS sufferers have a mild form of the disease and never develop severe disabilities.
