Prison officers in dispute on overtime cutbacks

The army and Gardaí are preparing to take over the running of prisons across the country in the event of strike action by prison officers.

The strike is in relation to a dispute over prison reforms and cutbacks in overtime budgets, which have led to the closure of two prisons.
