Forensic exam for Monaghan hotel

Gardaí in Monaghan are this morning beginning a forensic examination of a fire that destroyed part of a hotel yesterday.

Gardaí in Co Monaghan are still investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed two function rooms and an extension at the Riverdale Hotel in Ballybay yesterday.

Forensic experts are due to attend the scene this morning in an effort to determine what started the fire.
