Woman dies in Monaghan car accident

A woman has been killed in a car accident in Co Monaghan.

The accident happened at 9pm last night, Christmas Eve, when a local woman was struck by two cars on the N2 at Corracrin, near Emyvale.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the fatal accident to come forward.
