Gardaí investigate attempted post office raid
Gardaí are investigating an attempted post office raid in north Co Louth.
Two men armed with iron bars entered Ravensdale Post Office at 4.30pm this afternoon.
They tried to smash their way through the security glass, but fled in less than a minute when an alarm went off.
It’s the second post office to be targeted along the Louth-Armagh border in two days.
Yesterday raiders, also brandishing iron bars, escaped with €1,000 in cash from a Meath Post Office.
