Ombudsman urged to ensure fathers have access to children

The Unmarried and Separated Fathers of Ireland group has called on the newly-appointed Children’s Ombudsman to ensure that fathers have adequate access to their children.

Emily Logan, the director of nursing at Tallaght Hospital in Dublin, was officially appointed as Ireland’s first Children’s Ombudsman earlier today.

Ray Kelly, a spokesman for the Unmarried and Separated Fathers group, said Ms Logan should ensure that children living in broken homes have a right to see their fathers.
