Gardaí in Co Louth have teamed up with PSNI officers to investigate the hijacking of two lorries carrying cigarettes on the main Dublin to Belfast road this morning.

Gardaí in Co Louth have teamed up with PSNI officers to investigate the hijacking of two lorries carrying cigarettes on the main Dublin to Belfast road this morning.

Initial reports said at least six men were involved in the hijacking, which happened just north of the border at around 7.30am.
