70% of prisoners re-offend, claims centre

Figures show 70% of Irish prisoners return to crime after they are released, the Dublin-based Blanchardstown Offenders for New Directions centre has claimed.

The centre offers support and education to former prisoners in an effort to prevent them from re-offending.
