Extra Irish peacekeepers arrive in Liberia

A further 170 Irish soldiers have arrived in Liberia to aid a UN peace-enforcing mission in the war-torn west African nation.

The soldiers, part of the 90th Infantry Battalion, are due to set up camp today in a coastal area north of the country’s capital, Monrovia.
