Irish protestors are travelling to Brussels this morning to stage a picket outside a meeting of EU ministers who are voting on stem cell research.

Tánaiste Mary Harney will cast Ireland's vote in favour of funding embryonic stem cell research with European taxpayers money.

Youth Defence are to protest in Brussels over the move and spokesman, Eoghan de Faoite, said it's an important issue and that EU money should not be used to fund the "destruction of embryos".
