Adams reports ID problems
Speaking after northern polls closed last night, the Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams expressed concern at certain aspects of the conduct of the election.
He said the party had received numberous complaints about the ID process, which was introduced for the first time in Northern elections.
Chief Electoral Officer Dennis Stanley has said he is standing by the ID process.
Counting of votes in the assembly elections begins at 9 am today.
108 seats for the Northern assembly will be filled by tea-time tomorrow.
