The Minister for Defence Michael Smith is refusing to confirm if he will walk with the Nenagh Hospital Action Group in a march on Saturday to protest about the Hanley Report.

The Minister for Defence Michael Smith is refusing to confirm if he will walk with the Nenagh Hospital Action Group in a march on Saturday to protest about the Hanley Report.

The report is recommending the downgrading of certain hospitals, including Nenagh in north Tipperary.

Minister Smith refused to declare his position this morning when challenged by reporters at the 90th Anniversary of the foundation of the Irish Volunteers.
