One in eight men develops osteoporosis

One in eight men is likely to develop an oesteoprotic-related fracture at some stage of their life, according to the president of the Irish osteoporosis society, Professor Moira O'Brien.

More than 40,000 Irish men are believed to be affected by the condition.
