SIPTU protesting over fraud in building industry

SIPTU are to hold a protest today to vent their anger over the widespread fraud and non-compliance that is taking place throughout the building industry.

They say building employers are failing to hand over millions in mandatory pension contributions every year.

Eric Fleming of SIPTU says many construction firms are refusing to register employees in the pension scheme. He is calling on the Minister for Justice Michael McDowell to take action.
