Taoiseach and McCreevy issue warnings about benchmarking deal
The Taoiseach has warned public servants that they must work harder if they are to receive their benchmarking pay increases.
Speaking at a Fianna Fáil rally in Dublin yesterday evening, Mr Ahern said workers must show their commitment to benchmarking by delivering value for money.
Minister for Finance Charlie McCreevy this morning also warned the benchmarking deal was dependent on public servants fulfilling the agreement.
