The Green Party has proposed a reduction in the number of TDs in Ireland, a lowering of the voting age for local elections and a cut in the length of the presidential term.

The Green Party has proposed a reduction in the number of TDs in Ireland, a lowering of the voting age for local elections and a cut in the length of the presidential term.

The party said the number of TDs should be reduced from 166 to 130, the voting age for local elections should be lowered to 16 and the duration of the presidential term should be cut from seven to five years.
