Man killed in Clare crash

A man has died following a road accident in Co Clare.

Forty-nine year-old Liam Kelly, from Lissycasey in Co Clare, died when the van he was driving was involved in a collision with an articulated truck.

The collision occurred at Ballymaley in Ennis just before 6pm yesterday.

Mr Kelly was taken to Ennis General Hospital, and was later transferred to Limerick Regional Hospital where he died shortly after midnight.
