Ahern and Blair to hold Belfast press conference

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and British Prime Minister Tony Blair are due to hold a press conference at Hillsborough Castle in the North today as part of a choreographed day of statements relating to the Irish peace process.

The choreography is a roundabout way of announcing the details of an agreement negotiated between Sinn Féin and the Ulster Unionist Party in recent weeks.
