Man injured in nail bomb explosion

A man was injured when a nail bomb exploded outside a house in Northern Ireland, police said today.

The victim was treated in hospital for flesh wounds following the blast in the Rosemount area of Derry last night.

As detectives launched an inquiry into the attack police revealed that paramilitary involvement had been ruled out.

“They are following a definite line of inquiry,” a spokesman said.
