Ireland sees colon cancer figures rise

Colon cancer kills 1,800 people in Ireland every year.

The Department of Health have been asked to fund a pilot colon cancer screening programme in the South West Dublin area.

Professor Colm O’Morain, a consultant Gastroenterologist said screening would save lives.
