Five days to find NI election date - Ahern

Bertie Ahern has stressed that only five days remain to reach agreement on an election date for a new Northern Ireland Assembly.

Speaking in Brussels ahead of talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair on the fringe of the European Union summit, Mr Ahern also repeated his view that polling should go ahead even without accord between the Northern Ireland political parties.
