US President George W Bush’s special advisor on Northern Ireland Richard Haass was today in Belfast for meetings with the North’s politicians as intense efforts continued to restore the Stormont Assembly.

US President George W Bush’s special advisor on Northern Ireland Richard Haass was today in Belfast for meetings with the North’s politicians as intense efforts continued to restore the Stormont Assembly.

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams was due to have an early morning meeting with Mr Haass who took part in yesterday’s peace process summit in Downing Street.
