Land reform conference begins in Dublin

A proposal to impose a tax on development land for every year it lies idle is one of the items being discussed at an international conference on land reform in Dublin, today.

The recommendation would aim to bring down the price of land, and in turn housing, by allowing it to be released sooner for building purposes.
