Durkan: Don't punish other parties over elections
British Prime Minister Tony Blair was today urged by the nationalist SDLP to set a date for fresh elections to the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Following talks in Downing Street, SDLP leader Mark Durkan said the continuing failure of the Ulster Unionists and Sinn Féin to reach an agreement on restoring devolved government should not be a reason not to go ahead with elections.
