Health service report due next week

The long awaited Hanley Report into staffing levels and procedures within the Health service will be published next week.

Dr Hanley’s document is with the printers at the moment, but is due to be delivered to the Government next Wednesday.

Its recommendations could mark the biggest ever shake-up in the way hospitals around the country are staffed and administered.

Another significant aspect will be a review of the role of consultants in the health service, and how they make their money.
