Engineers urge Govt to tackle infrastructure delays

The Institute of Engineers in Ireland (IEI) has called on the Government to rationalise the public consultation process for large infrastructure projects.

The Institute of Engineers in Ireland (IEI) has called on the Government to rationalise the public consultation process for large infrastructure projects.

The institute has also called on the Government to establish a special High Court division to deal with legal challenges to these projects.

The IEI said such moves would help overcome current delays in constructing roads, incinerators and other projects.
