Braun lift protective notice on 600 workers

Protective notice on 600 workers has been lifted at the Braun plant in Co Carlow this evening.

A series of meetings between management and trade union representatives led to the lifting of the notice which was served on Monday.

An unofficial overtime ban by staff that started a couple of weeks ago will end from tomorrow.

SIPTU tonight said that major progress had also been made on voluntary redundancies.
