ERHA monitors hospital beds crisis

The Eastern Regional Health Authority says it is monitoring the situation in A & E departments in Dublin.

The Eastern Regional Health Authority says it is monitoring the situation in A & E departments in Dublin.

It says additional funding of €3.8m has been used to find more appropriate accommodation for some patients in acute hospitals.

The Irish Nurses Organisation released figues today which showed there were 65 patients on trolleys awaiting beds in Mater, Beaumont and Tallaght hospitals.
